Dear Sir:

We have reviewed IE Bulletin 80-19, Revision 1 related to failures of mercury wetted matrix relays in reactor protective systems of operating nuclear power plants designed by Combustion Engineering. As a result of i our review, we have detemined that no mercury wetted relays of the type described are utilized in ::he logic matrix of the Reactor Protection System at the Trojan Nuclear Plant. Therefore,'no corrective actions are necessary. t!anpower expended in conduct of the review required by IE Bulletin 80-19, Revision 1 is estimated at five equivalent man-days. Sincerely, uh f -l ~ C.
