Certificate of Compliance 6347; Renewal Request.
Dear Mr. MacDonald:
General Atomic Company (GAC), manufacturer of HTGR reactors and fuels, re-quests renewal of the subject certificate of compliance for a period of five (5) years. The certificate covers the FSV-3 packaging which is used to safely transport HIGR fuel elecents primaril" from GAC to a HTGR Reactor at Fort St. Vrain, Colorado. Attached is a check for $150 covering the renewal fees prescribed in 10 CFR 170.31.
We request renewal of the subject certificate of compliance without submis-sion of a consolidated safety analysis since widespread use of the package is not conte = plated. Only GAC and possibly the Public Service of Colorado, if return of a fuel element to GAC is found necessary, are anticipated users of the package.
