SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSE TO PORTER COUNTY CHAPTER-INTERVENORS' FIRST REQUEST FOR PRODUCTION OF DOCUMENTS NIPSCO's response to request No. 6 of the Porter County Chapter Intervenors' First Request for Production of Documents (August 21, 1980) has been deferred by agree-ment of counsel with respect to any contract, subcontract, or agreement between NIPSCO and the General Electric Company.

Several contracts between NIPSCO and the General Electric Company will be available for inspection at

the NIPSCO offices at the Bailly site on October 23, 1980, the date designated for responding to these intervenors' Second Request'to NIPSCO for Production of Documents.

However, the General Electric Company is today filing with the Licensing Board a motion for protective order

supply the nuclear steam supply system and turbine )$

generator for the Bailly nuclear facility, on the grounds Jo~10200(obf

i that the contracts are highly sensitive commercial infor-

- mation.- NIPSCO therefore respectfully asks that its further response regarding these contracts be deferred 4 until such time as the Board-has ruled on the General Electric motion. -
