Region 1 NRC and C. E. Hartman, Lead Electrical Engineer TMI-1, at 1430 hours0.0166 days <br />0.397 hours <br />0.00236 weeks <br />5.44115e-4 months <br /> on September 23, 1980.
It has been determined that there is insufficient documentation to acmonstrate that the brakes on the motor operators f or purge valves AH-V1B and AH-VIC are. environmentally qualified.
Documented evidence is not available to show that the brake is qualified for the radiation conditions assumed in accordance with Bulletin 79-01B.
The FSAR indicates that electric motor valve operators located inside the reactor building are designed to withstand potential ef fects of radiation.
Since documentation for'the brake is unavailable, this condition is reportable,in accordance with 79-01B Supplemental Inform-ation memo.
The redundant purge valves AH-VIA and AH-VID are fully qualified. No irnediate' corrective action is required.
Actions. to resolve this issue will be described in the follow-up re-port..
