McCabe of your office on Friday, September 12, 1980, Philadelphia Electric Company plans to have an interim ultrasonic scram discharge volume level monitoring system in operation by the first of December, 1980 for both Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Units.
Our ability to accomplish this is contingent upon some factors beyond our direct control.
General Electric has recently revised the original estimated shipping date for hardware from mid October to November 14, 1980 and has advised us that the lategrated system to be installed is a prototype.
We are concerned that some unanticipated installation and commissioning difficulties could delay full inplenentation of this commitment.
Be assured, however, that we are as anxious as the NRC in getting this interim level monitoring system in service as soon as possible, and will do everything reasonable within our means to accomplish this connon goal.
