This letter constitutes an interim report under 10CFR50.55(e) regarding General Electric Company type IAC Induction Disc Relays with petroleum jelly lubricated time dials. Our previous report to you regarding this matter was dated April 21,1980.
Our final investigation has identified'a total of one-hundred-ninety-six (196) type IAC relays and nine (9) type IJCV relays employed on various systems which were within the date codes addressed in Bulletin 80-01.
These relays will be replaced with new relays and the potentially defective relays will be scrapped.
Receipt of the new relays is expected in twenty-four (24) weeks at which time they will be calibrated and installed and the nonconformance closed out.
We trust this letter will fulfill the requirements of an interim report.
