li SEP 15 EPjj llEMORANDUM FOR:
liarris E. Coleman, Chief Contract Policy Staff Division of Contracts FROM:
Denwood F. Ross, Director Division of Systems Integration, f!RR
SUBJECT:
REVIEW 0F UNSOLICITED PROPOSAL FROM SCIENCE APPLICATIONS, IllC. ENTITLED "A PROPOSAL TO PROVIDE THE NRC WITil A REACTOR RADIATION STREN4ING ANALYSIS CAPABILITY," DOCKET NUMBER 80-559 This is in response to your memorandum of July 8, 1980, on the same subject.
It is the staff position that the radiation streaming contract with Mathematical Application Group, Inc. (MAGI) Contract flumber flRC-04-79-179 has been satisfactory completed. We further concur with Don Solberg's memo dated July 15, 1980, (attached) that the new SAI proposal lacks the technical merits and understanding of NRCs need to warrant funoing by NRC. We recommend that this work not be funded.
