Kenna of your office of a potentially reportable deficiency (PRD) at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station. The deficiency concerns discrepancies'in,the design. documentation for the Power Generation Control Complex (PGCC) panels and its associated deliveredchardware.

Our investigation is continu'idg. We are performing a verification sudit of this equipment at Ger.eral Electric's facility in San Jose, California and at the Grand Gulf Muclear Station. To date, our evaluation has revealed

>l no hardware deficiencies related to this matter that would have adversely i

affected the safety of plant operations.

We expect to provide you our final evaluation of this deficiency by December 30, 1980.
