Dear Ms. Sekuler:
I am writing in reference to your letter of September 10, 1980, regarding the proposed deposition, on October 1, 1980, of NRC Staff. members A. Thomas Clark and Fred D.
Fisher, at your offices in Chicago.
As I explained to you in our last telephone conversation, of September 10, 1980, we are willing, on a vcluntary basis, to make available the above named Staff nembers for oral examination concerning tiuse matters identified by Illinois in the letter of September 10, 1980 thich are relevant to the issues in this proceeding and which are not privileged. Ilowever, as I also stated in that telephone conversation, the Staf f does not agree to the depo-siticn in Chicago of these NRC Staff members, who are located at NRC head-quarters in the Washington, DC area.
Accordingly, the Staff will make these Staff members available for deposition on October 1, 1980 or another mutually agreeable date at NRC offices in the Washington, DC area.
