August 25, 1980 MEMORANDUM FOR:

A. Schwencer, Chief Licensing Branch #2 Division of Licensing FROM:

L. Kintner, Project Manager Licensing Branch #2 Division of Licensing

SUBJECT:

TELEPHONE CALL FROM REA CONCERNING FERMI 2 4

Jerry Seipel, REA (447-2012) called to say that the two cooperatives (that together own 20% of Fermi 2) are considering merging. The would likely retain the 20% of Fermi 2 and be in a stronger financial position. He asked whether there would be a significant impact on Fermi 2 licensing.

<.~

I advised that there would probably not be a significant impact on Fermi 2 licensing. We may need additional financial information and may notice it as a major federal action, if required. However, when the cooperatives were originally added to the application, it did not create a major impact on the licensing, and this would be a lesser perturbation.
