On August 14, 1980 a potential deficiency was reported concerning failure of bolting materials supplied by Southern Bolt and Fastener Company.

Since this date, Georgia Power Company has placed on hold all known material received from Southern Bolt and Fastener Company. Georgia Power Company is still conducting a review to determine if any other additional defective material has been received.- 3 It is anticipated this review will be concluded and a final report filed with the NRC by November 15, 1980.
