On August 19, 1980, Applicant (General Electric Company) filed a " Motion to Compel Discovery Against the State of Illinois" based on the apparent failure of Illinois to respond fully to Applicant's discovery requests dated August 4, 1980. On August 19, 1980, the NRC Staff filed a similar motion, "NRC Stcff's Motion To Compel Responsive Answers To Certain Staff Interrogatories To Inter-venor State of Illinois of July 15, 1980."
By this letter, we inform the Board that the Staff does not intend to submit a response to Applicant's motion.
