MStine w/ ticket This is in response to your letter to Harold Denton dated June 24, 1980, in which you requested copies of the utility and state government emergency plans for the Davis-Desse iluclear Power Station, Unit fio.1. You also requested a copy of any flRC order. pertaining to the utility emergency plan.
Enclosed is a copy of the utility emergency plan for Davis-Besse subnitted to the 11RC by the Toledo Edison Company on March 27, 1980.
It is the utility's intention to implement this revised plan this sumer. Also enclosed is a copy of an !!RC letter dated iby 19, 1980, which endorses the implementation of the revised plan since it reflects an improvement over the existing plan.
There has been no 11RC order issued.to; Toledo Edison with respect to emer-gency planning.
In Decerber 1979, President Carter issued an. Executive Order directing that the Federal Emergency Ibnagement Agency (FEt'A) be the lead _ federal agency respon-sible for offsite emergency planning around nuclear power fa'cilities.
FEMA should be contacted on issues relating to state or local government energency response plans.
