requires the State of Michigan to " advise it on or before 1

November 28, 1978, if it intends to participate and to specify the subject matters which it desires to participate.*

i The State of Michigan does intend to fully participate. .

1. SCOPE OF PARTICIPATION.

The State of Michigan is an " interested state" pursuant to i

< 10 CFR I.715 (c) . As such we are entitled to fully participate  ;

in all aspects of the proceedings. l

.i It is the intent of the State of Michigan to cross- 1 examine witnesses, file appropriate motions, and take discovery.

2. Impact upon the quality and quantity of water

4. Impact of accumulation and disposal of hazardous
wastes.
