I have received a request from a constituent for infonnation regar\\
ding the Yankee Vermont nuclear plant. HeisdebatingamovetoBernardstop, Massachusetts and is seeking some hard facts on which he can make an intelligent decision.
I hope it is possible for you to assist me in obtaining some answers.
r His questions are:

Is Yankee Vernont radiating into the environment at any leve ?
2.
What is the standard safety level of radiation and how has i been detennined?
3.
Have there been any studies of the air, soil, water, and food chain supply near the plant for contamination?

In the event of an accident dat plans are there for evacuatio ?
5.
Most disconcerting is the fact that scientists seem to disagree over the significance of similar data and safety standards. What exactly is the crux of the argument?
