This letter is in response to IE Bulletin 80-19 entitled,
" Failures of Mercury-Wetted M3trix Relays In Reactor Protective Systems Of Operating Nuclear Power Plants Designed By Combustion Engineering."
Our review of the Cook Plant design has shown that mercury-wetted matrix relays are not employed in the Reactor Protection System and therefore the concerns described in the subject Bulletin are not applicable to the f
Cook Plant.
Our response to this Bulletin involved expending a total of 25 manhours for research, response and supervisory review and approval.
