Reference (a) transmitted the results of an inspection conoucted by Messrs. T. J. Madeda, J. R. Knicely and Ms. C.

Christoffer on July 14-18, 1980 of activities et Quad Cities Station Units 1 and 2.
Appendix A to the August 12 letter identified certain of Our activities which appeared to be in noncompliance with NRC requirements.
Our response to Item 1 of Appendix A is contained in the attachment to this letter.
Since the attachment to this letter contains information which is exempt from public disclosure per 10 CFR 2.790 requirements, tne attacnment shoulo not be placed in the Public Document Room.
