NRC STAFF'S REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL TIME WITHIN WHICH TO RESPOND TO APPLICANT'S MOTION FOR TERMINATION OF PROCEEDING Applicant on September 11, 1980, find with the Licensing Board a " Withdrawal of Application" in the above-captioned proceeding and, in light of such withdrawal, a " Motion for Termination of Proceedings" (Motion) before the Licensing Board.
The NRC Staff's response to the Motion would be due by October 1,1980.
However, in order to respond to the Motion, Staff counsel is awaiting receipt of certain infonnation including, for example, whether Applicant has paid all license fees and whether the proposed Sundesert site requires any redress as a result of activities carried on by Applicant prior to withdrawal of the application.
Accordingly, the NRC Staff requests to and including October 17, 1980 within which to respond to Applicant's Motion.
Counsel for Applicant has authorized Staff counsel to state that Applicant has no objection to the Staff's request for additional time.
