Dear Mr. Keppler:

This letter is submitted in response to Section B.6 of Mr. Victor Stello's letter of May 15, 1980, identified as " Graduated Recission of Order dated August-15, 1979."

Public Service Company of Indiana, Inc. (PSI) has accomplished those activities identified in the appendix of the above-referenced letter relative to the prerequisites for commencing receipt inspection by Cherne Contracting Corporation (CCC) and Commonwcalth-Lord -J.V. (C-L. J.V.).

Specifically, PSI 1.

Assumed complete responsibility for receipt inspection and for administrative custody of equipment and materials procurred by PSI.

Required CCC and C-L J.V. to adjust as necessary th'eir Quality Assurance Programs, procedures and implementation thereof, personnel staf fing levels and personnel qualifications as those items relate to receipt inspection activities.

3.

PSI has reviewed and approved the Quality Assurance Programs of CCC and C-L J.V. and performed comprehensive audits on those programs.

NRC review of adjusted contractor receipt inspection programs as required by Section B.7 of your referenced letter will be greatly appreciated.
