REQUEST FOR CONSOLIDATION OF REPLIES The Licensing Board fixed August 28 (ten days after service of the Order Following Special Prehearing Conference) as the date upon which to file arguments in support of, or opposition to, the admissibility of revised contentions filed by Porter County Chapter Intervenors and adopted by Illinois. NIPSCO filed its " Response to Revised Contentions" on August 28; Porter County Chapter Petitioners filed " Arguments in Support of the Admissibility of ' Newly-Filed Contentions'" on that date as well. However, Illinois requested and obtained an extension until September 11 for its filing.

The Order Following Special Prehearing Ce ference permits replies to be filed within ten days after service of the "argu-ments." Thus NIPSCO's response to the Porter County Chapter Intervenors' filing is due September 12 while the response to Illinois' arguments on exactly the same contentions is due September 26. NIPSCO therefore requests that it be permitted to consolidate its responses to both filings and file the con-solidated response ten days after service of the Illinois D So S 800908 0 FJl S0 j

. " arguments" on September 26. Consolidation of the responses to the two filings is logical and will result in economy of effort without detriment to any party.
