Presently, the NRC has contracted Analysis & Technology, Inc. te con-duct a cocprehensive study of de selection, training, retraining and examining of operators. We expect the results of their study to be sd=itted Noveser 30, 1980. Also we have initiated a study of reans to be employed te acc edit training institutions. This report is also due 61s Fall.
We believe it is apprcpriat for us to review dese reports and advise de Cocc:ission regarding their recommendariens prior to instituting any additional projects in this area.
Should de ongoing studies indicate de need for establishing prograns sfr:ilar to those indicated in vo= letter, W will assure that yoc cec:cany is fo:erded a ecpy of any RFD that is prepared.
