EXPIRATION OF THE CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE FOR THE EAGLE CASK, DOCKET No. 71-9287
Dear Sir:
Orano Federal Services LLC is the certificate holder for the Eagle Cask, CoC USA/9287/B(U)-85. This certificate is set to expire on January 31, 2020.
In 20 years since its first approval, Orano and its predecessor companies have not built or sold a package under this certificate. Since the CoC is a -85 vintage, no packages can be fabricated without NRC approval of an updated SAR.
For these reasons, Orano has decided to allow the certificate to permanently expire.
