Background
I As a result of a telecon which was held with Commonwealth Edison Company on September 5,1980 to discuss the status of the reevaluation program rela-l tive to the seismic qualification of equipment, it was agreed that a meeting be held to discuss the matter further. A meeting was held in Bethesda, l
Maryland with the applicant.
l A list of the meeting attendees is enclosed.
1 Summary A meeting was held on September 24, 1980 with Commonwealth Edison Company and its consultant, Sargent and Lundy, to discuss the applicant's reevaluation program relative to the seismic qualification of equipment.
Mr. Meligi from Sargent and Lundy presented the applicant's seismic qual-ification program from its initiation to its reevaluation as a result of
- the new hydrodynamic loads defined after the applicant had initiated its t
design.
Mr. Meligi reviewed the program used to reevaluate their equip-ment and indicated that 95 percent of the balance-of-plant equipment were completed while for the nuclear steam supply system 75 percent was completed.
As a result of this discussion, we requested the applicant to submit a I
sumary report of their reevaluation equipment qualification results and to include the combined spectra for each floor used for this reevaluation program.
In addition, Mr. Meligi described the manner in which the effect of fatigue will be considered in their equipment cualification program.
We requested the applicant to include in the summary report this discussion.
As a result of this meeting the following milestones were established:
Commonwealth Edison submits summary report.
October 8, 1980 October 15.1980 NRC selects additional equipment (if required) as a result of reviewing the summary report for the seismic qualification review team (SQRT)
