As discussed in a telephone conversation between you and L.
- 4. Harding of my staff on October 2, 1980, the following commitment concerning the training of the operating staff in mitigating core damage (ll.B.4) is provided.
Training in mitigating core damage will be provided to the following TMI-l plant operpting staff personnel:
Manager, Unit 1 Supervisor of Operations Shift Supervisor Shift Foremen Control Room Operators Shift Technical Advisors Emergency Directors (as identified in the TMI-l Emergency Plan)
Additionally, training in the areas indicated below in parentheses related to mitigating core damage will be provided to the following TMI support staff personnel:
I&C Foreman (Instrument Response)
EP Foreman (Radiation levels / calculations)
Chemistry Foreman (Isotopes)
