Dear Mr. Congel:
Enclosed is a copy of the report on the unannounced activation and reentry / recovery drills conducted September 25, 1989, at the River Bend Nuclear Station.
These drills were conducted to meet the standards of FEMA Guidance Memorandum EX-3 which requires that all 36 of the standard exercise objectives be successfully demonstrated at least once during a six-year period.
The reentry / recovery drill was designed to demonstrate correction of areas requiring corrective action from previous exercises.
This report was prepared by the FEMA Region VI office staff.
Successful demonstration of the objectives scheduled for these drills resulted in all 36 FEMA Objectives being met within the l
initial six-year cycle for the River bend Nuclear Station.
