SUBJECT:
DIFFERING PROFESSIONAL OPINION in my September 13, 1989 memorandum, Item I stated that the staff should issue its evaluation of the proposed Zion Technical Specifications for i
containment purge and vent system. This amendment was expected to be issued l
by November 30, 1959.
The licensee provided a new submittel on November 21, 1989. However, this submittal is significantly different from the original submittal. Therefore, the submittal will be renoticed in the Federal. Register. The staff's i
evaluation of the revised submittal is expecteo by January 15, 1990. However, l
since this issue is now being reviewed as a Differing Professionel Opinion, final staff action on the licensee's request will not be taken until the l
review group headed by Dr. Ross completes its review of this issue.
