Proposed Amendment to the Operating
.i License (pCOL-89/07) - Supplemental-Information AECM-89/0219 On August 15, 1989, System Energy Resources, Inc. (System Energy),
Arkansas Power and Light Company (AP&L), and Louisiana Power and Light Company (LP&L) submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission proposed license amendments to designate Entergy Operations, Inc. (EOI) as the licensed' operator for Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (Grand Gulf) Unit.1. Arkansas Nuclear One ( ANO) Units 1 and 2, and Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3
-(Waterford 3), respectively.
The proposed amendnents are intended to establish a new company, to be called EOI, as the system-wide nuclear operating company.
Clarifications.to the System Energy August 15, 1989 application were provided to the NRC by System Energy in submittals on August 22 and November 21, 1989.
In response to discussions with NRC staff at a meeting on November 30, 1989, System Energy has determined that the proposed amendment to the Grand Gulf Unit:1 Operating License as set forth in Attachment 2 to the August-15 and August 22, 1989 submittals'and Attachment 4 to the November 21, 1989 submittal should-be further clarified. A revised markup of
-four pages of the Grand Gulf Unit 1-Operating License has been provided as.
In accordance with the provisions of 10CFR50.4, the signed original of this-submittal is enclosed and the appropriate copies will be distributed.
The August 15, 1989 amendment application provides the background and
-technical justification to support the requested operating license amendment.
