SUBJECT:
DIFFERING PROFESSIONAL VIEW In my-September 13, 1989 memorandum, item I stated that the staff should issue its evaluation of the proposed Zion Technical Specifications for containmer,t purge and vent system. This amendment was expected to be issued by November 30, 1989.
The licensee provided a new submittal on November 21, 1989. However, this submittal is significantly different from the original submittal.
Therefore, the submittal will be renoticed in the Federal, Register. The staff's evaluation of the revised submittal is M pected by January 15, 1990. However, i
since this issue is now being reviewed as a Differing Professional Opinion, final staf f action on the licensee's request will not be taken until the review group headed by Dr. Ross completes its review of this issue.
