On September 1,1989, the Office of People's Counsel sent a Freedom ofInformation j
Act request to your attention.- (Copy attached) The request asked for transcripts of senior management meetings from 1985 to 1989 regarding Calvert Cliffs. At this time,I would like to
. supplement that request. Please pmvide any background information and supporting documents
- about Calvert Cliffs used at the senior management meetings.
As stated in the previous letter, People's Counsel is a state agency which re presents residential customers of the utilities regulated by the Public Service Commission ot Maryland.
The information requested will be used to assist People's Counsel in making a recommenddon to the Commission as to whether the Baltimore Oas and Electric Company complied with the statusory provision req uiring that the Company maintain the pmductive power ofits generating plants at a reasonable Level. In making a determination on that issue, the Commission must decide whether the Company's management of Calvert Cliffs was prudent. Any information the NRC has on this subject would assist People's Counsel in makmg a sound recommendation to the Commission.
