nuclear. equipment can be exported under the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) general license provisions.
We' confirm that reactor components falling under paragraphs 10 CFR_110.8(a)(5) through 110.8(a)(9) for use in light water-moderated power or research reactors.
in the countries listed in 10 CFR 110.26(a) (which includes' Japan) may be exported under the NRC general. license provision. 'This general license provision covers
'the' kinds of equipment contemplated for export under expired NRC Export License-XCOM0197. Accordingly, no specific license is required for the export'of these
' items-to Japan. However,pleasenotetheprohibition-in10CFR110.26(b)which does-not: allow the export of an essentially complete nuclear reactor through individual component exports.
