Overthepastseveralmonths,GeneralElectric(GE)hasparticipatedinanNRC mationnotices, bulletins,andgenericletters)genericcommunications(infor-pilot project involving the distribution of NRC electronically upon issuance.
This computerized system, the Generic Communications Electronic Distribution System, also allows users access to the text of NRC generic communications issued since 1987, as well as to the Proposed Generic Communications Tracking System.-
The NRC would like to receive feedback on the usefulness of this system' from the pilot program participants. While we would appreciate receiving any general suggestions or comments you may have regarding this system, including whether it should be made permanent, we would find it especially useful to receivo feedback that provides GE's perspective on 1) the usefulness of this system, 2) any improvements or modifications that could be incorporated to expand the current database (for example, including the text of NRC generic communications issued prior to 1987), and 3) any additional types of informa-tion that would be useful if they were incorporated by expansion of the current database (for example,10 CFR Part 21 notifications and the Generic Communica-tions Index).
This information will be utilized by NRC to plan future activities at the conclusion of this pilot program.
