Over the past several months, the Nuclear Management and Resources Council l
(NUMARC) has participated in an NRC pilot project involving the distribution of NRCgenericcommunications(informationnotices, bulletins,andgenericlet-ters) electronically upon issuance. This computerized system, the Generic Communications Electronic Distribution System, also allows users access to the 1
- text of NRC generic communications issued since 1987, as well as to the Pro-posed Generic Comunications Tracking System.
The NRC would like to receive feedback on the usefulnesc of this system from the pilot program participants. While we would appreciate receiving any general suggestions or comments you may have regarding this system, including whether it should be made permanent, we would find it especially useful to receive feedback that provides NUMARC's perspective on 1) the usefulness of this system, 2) any improvements or modifications that could be incorporated to l
expand the current database (for example, including the text of NRC generic l-comunications issued prior to 1987), and 3) any additional types of informa-l tion that would be useful if they were incorporated by expansion of the current

database (for example,10 CFR Part 21 notifications and the Generic Comunica-l tions Index).
