Tennessee Valley Authority (the licensee), which revised Technical Spec-ifications for operation of the Browns Ferry Nuclear plant, Unit No. 3, 5

located in Limestone County, Alabama.

The amendment is effective as of

q the date of issuance.

This amendm,ent changes the Technical Specifications to permit continued operation following isolation of the residual heat removal service water (RHRSW) to the Browns Ferry Unit No. 2 2B residual heat removal heat exchanger for a period of up to 10 days which also isolates this backup source of RHRSW to Browns Ferry Uni t tb. 3 through the cross connection between Unit Nos. 2 and 3.

d requirements of th6 Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate 1 :.

findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations

-in 10 CFR Chapter 1, which are set forth in the license amendment.

Prior public notice of thi', amendment was not required since the anendment does not involve a r.ignificant hazards consideration.
