Sheldon J. Wolfe, Member Atomic Safety and Licensing Board MOTION FOR ONE-DAY EXTENSION OF TIME BY THE PUBLIC UTILITIES BOARD OF THE CITY OF BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS The Public Utilities Board of the City of Brownsville, Texas ("Brownsville") respectfully requests for all parties a one-day extension of time within which to file comments on the proposed settlement conditions in the above proceedings.

Comments would be due for all parties on September 25, 1981.

Additional time is necessary to finalize Brownsville's comments because of the need for extensive con-sultations with the client, last-minute discussions of the proposed Settlement with other parties, and because of inter-ference with other pressing commitments of counsel.

80002003W g

).

This one-day extension is supported by STEC/MEC and by the Texas Border Cooperatives. l/

The one-day extension is unopposed by Central and South West Corporation, Houston Lighting Power Company, the City Public Service Board of San Antonio, Texas, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Staff, and the Department of Justice.

Texas Utilities opposes the one-day extension insofar as Brownsville claims a right to com-ment on the Comanche Peak conditions.

It asserts Brownsville is not a party to that proceeding, while Brownsville disagrees.

WHEREFORE, for the above reasons, Brownsville respectfully requests an extension of time for filing of comments until September 25, 1980.

Respectfully submitted,
