NOTIFICATION OF SIGNIFICANT ENFORCEMENT ACTION Licensee:
Magnaflux Corporation, Chicago, Illinois License No. 22-00622-07
Subject:
PROPOSED IMPOSITION OF A CIVIL PENALTY - $2,000 This is to inform the Commission that a Notice of Violation and a Notice of Proposed Imposition of a Civil Penalty in the amount of Two Thoustand Dollars will be issued on or about September 10, 1980, to Magnaflux Corporation.
This action is based on an alleged item of noncompliance relating to the loss of a radiographic exposure device during transportation from the licensee's.
Springdale, Ohio facility to the Ghent Power Station in Ghent, Ohio.
The radiographic device was not blocked and braced as required by the Department of Transcortation regulations.
A news release has been prepared and will be issued about the time the licensee receives the Notices.
The State of Illinois will be notffied.

It should be noted that the licensee has not been specifically informed of the enforcement action.
