Gentlemen:
This refers to an inspection conducted by Mr. J. W. Sutton of this office on June 4-5, 1980, of your facility at Cornwells Heights, Pennsylvania, associated with the manufacture of valves and to the discussion of our finding with you and members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was conducted to develop information pertaining to a reported potential construction deficiency, and to review any activities you have taken or plan to take, to relate deficiencies, if any, to other nuclear plants on a generic basis. The inspection was also conducted to review any corrective action you may have taken relative to this matter, and to review cuality control activities as they relate to NRC Rules and Regulations, as well as Code require-ments if applicable,' conmion to contract commitments.
i Areas evnmined during the inapection and our findings are discussed in the enclosed report.. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of an aramination of precedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and ob-servations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, we found no instance where you failed to meet NRC requirements.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the Commission's " Rules of Practice,"
Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter together with the ecciosed inspection report will be placed in the Commission's Public Document Room.
If this report contains any information that you believe to be proprietary, it is necessary that you make a written application within thirty (30) days to this office to withhold such information from public disclosure.
