July 29, 1980 MEMORANDUM FOR: John McConnell, Assistant Associate Director for Population Preparedness FROM:

Brain K. Grimes, Program Director Emergency Preparedness Program Office

SUBJECT:

TMI-l RESTART TESTIMONY As discussed in my June 27, 1980 memorandum to you, FEMA support in providing prepared testimony 's required to complete preparations for the TMI-l Restart Hearings. The July 14, 1980 date requested for submittal of this testimony is already passed and we are receiving considerable pressure from our Office of the Executive Legal Director to complete all testimony dealing with Emergency Preparedness. With regard to this requirement, it is vital that the testimony i

requiring FEMA support be submitted as soon as possible so that preparations l

for the forthcoming hearing may continue on schedule.

If discussion with the EPF0 staff or NRC hearing attorney is desired, please contact me.
