Dear Mr. Keppler:
Clinton Power Station Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. 50-461 and 50-462 Construction Permits No. CPPR-137 & CPPR-138 This is in reply to your letter of June 27, 1980 whereby you forwarded IE Bulletin No. 80-16 which reported on the potential failure mechanism in certain Rosemount Inc. Model 1151 and 1152 pressure transmitters.
Please be advised that Rosemount Inc. Model 1151 and 1152 pressure transmitters are not currently being used on BOP safety related systems.
These r >dels may, however, have been supplied by General Electric on NSSS safety systems.
General Electric has issued.a Field Disposition Instruction directing Field personnel to identify any of the affected devices which are on site.
New amplifier boards will be furnished to replace existing PC boards.
The transmitters will be re-calebrated per the associated instrument data sheet and Rosemount instruction manual.
The old boards and the original certification will be returned to GE San Jose.
I In ac'dition to the above in regard to safety system applications, Illinois Power is reviewing the use of these devices in non-safety I
applications.
