Consumers Power Company (Big Rock Point Nuclear Plant), Docket No. 50-155 (Spent Fuel Pool Expansion)
Dear Chairman and Members of the Board:
I am today filing with deep regret the enclosed Motion for Withdrawal of Appearance' as Counsel.
As the Motion states, our clients simply do not have the resources to afford even one lawyer to battle the battalions employed by Consumers Power Company.
I hasten to emphasize that while we are withdrawing as counsel, our i
clients remain as parties and intend to participate as far as their resources and abilities permit.
It is, indeed, unfortunate that this situation should arise.
I r
am sure that you realize the impact of the clean imbalance of re-sources on the ability of the public to trost the decision that you ultimately reach in this case.
I hope that you will make every effort to exert your own authority to assure that the record is com-plete with respect to all issues that our clients have raised.
