Inspection Summary: Inspection on April 1-3,1980 (Report No. 70-371/80-05)
Areas Inspected:
Included Review of Security Plan; Physical Barriers; Access Controls; Detection Aids; Central Alarm and Communications System; SNM Protection and Reports of Incidents.
Resul ts: The inspection involved 24 inspector-hours onsite by one NRC Inspector.
The inspection was begun during irregular hours; 6 inspection-hours were accomplished during offshift periods.
The licensee was found to be in compliance with NRC requirements in five of the seven functional areas inspected.
Two apparent items of noncompliance were noted as follows:
1.
SNM Protection:
Failure to properly store a container of SNM while unattended and failure to tamper-safe seal this container.

Detection Aids:
Failure to maintain in an effective operable condition
-an exit portal SNM detector.
