Gentlemen:

Onbovember14, 1979 Mr. E. D. Groover, Georgia Power Company QA Site Supervisor at Plant Vogtle reported to your Mr. Tom Conlon that a potential reportable item under 10CFR50.55e existed at Plant Vogtle con-cerning dewatering and erosion of backfill.

Our last interim letter of May 8,1980, Log GM-518 advised we would provide you with a date for the final report concerning this item. At this time, Georgia Power Company is very near to completing various actior.s that will enable us to submit the final report and we expect to forward it to you within the next six to eight weeks.

This response contains nn proprietary information and may be placed in the NRC Public Document Room upon receipt.
