ENCLOSURE Completion of FNP-2 Fire Protection Systems Alabama Power Company stated, on the available information concerning design and installation, that all fire modifications required by BTP 9.5-1 will be completed prior to fuel loading except for the following:
1.
Smoke detection systems in the auxiliary building will be completed prior to hallways) plant criticality. Smoke detection in some areas (mainly could not be finalized until cable design was completed.
This was necessary due to the fact that additional protection is needed in areas where two trains of safe shut'. wn cabling are within twenty feet.
1 2.
Hose stations in Unit 2 cable tunnels between the diesel generator building and the auxiliary building are to be supplied by a separate header from the header supplyirg sprinkler lines in the tunnels.
This work will be completed prior to plant criticality. This late modification was precipitated as a result of a NRC I & E inspection during the week of August 4,1980.
Both of these modifications are scheduled for completion in late October,1980.
