GM-663 Gentlemen:
The following is submitted in response to your letter dated April 4, 1980 concerning I.E. Bulletin 79-03A.
Georgia Power Company has not identified any welded SA-312 or A-312 piping that exceeds pressure design stresses of 85% of the maximum allow-able stress at the design temperature. Westinghouse, our NSSS supplier, is still investigating this problem as applicable to equipment under their scope and has requested an extension to October 1,1980 to respond to this bulletin.
