l In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 50.59, we are enclosing 40 copies of a requested amendment to license DPR-52 to change the technical epecifications of the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant unit 2 (Enclosure 1). - The proposed technical specifications reflect new pria"*y containment atmospheric hydrogen monitoring instrumentation e> be installed during the upcoming unit 2 refueling outage. Also enclosed are 40 copies of the system description and justification for the proposed changes (Enclosure 2).
These proposed changes are submitted as a supplement to those transmitted by my letter to you dated July 14, 1980 (TVA BFNP TS 140). We request approval of these proposed technical specifications by October 17, 1980, to avoid impa'cting the scheduled unit 2 startup date of October 24, 1980.
Based on the fact that the requested change is a supplement to BFNP TS 140, we do not believe that additional fees are appropriate and accordingly, none will be forwarded.
