50-260 50-296 In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 50.59, we are enclosing 40 copies of a requested amendment to licenses DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-6810 change the technical specifications of the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant units 1, 2, and 3 This requested change is a supplement to that submitted by ney letter to you dated April 15, 1980 (TVA BFNP TS 137). The enclosed technical specifications replace TS 137 in its entirety.
The proposed technical specifications are modeled after the BWR standard technical specifications and consequently should not require extensive review by your staff.
Appreval of these technical specifications will bring the Browns Ferry technical specifications more in line with NRC's desired format and will increase plant availability without compromising safety. Therefore, your most expeditious review would be appreciated.
Based on the fact that the requested change is a supplement to TS 137, we do not believe that additional fees are appropriate, and accordingly none will be forwarded.
