Dear Sir,

I write in concern over the close proximity of the Trojan Nuclear Power Plant, and Mount St. Helens. It is in ry opinion that the power plant should not re-open until the mountain has simmered down from its present condition, (which ray be a long period of time.) While it is true that the power plant is important to the power supply in the Northwest, the safe,ty of Trojan, and the inhabitants around it take priority over anything else.

The explosien of Mount St. Helens in Fay halted most seaborne traffic on the Columbia River. Running Trojan with high quanities of ash and soot are in the river could be hazardous to the intricate rachinery that make up a Muclear power plant. Such damage could cause darage to the enviroment and even loss. of huran life.

It would be much appreciated if you could send me information on nuclear power and your opinion on the subject discussed above.

l Thank You La -

C g
