Dear Petitioners:
The NRC Staff recently sent to all persons on the Midland service list a " Notice of Meeting to Appeal Staff Position Requiring ^ Additional Explora-tions ar.d Testing of Midland Plant Fil)." The meeting will be held at the MidlandServiceCenter,1100S.WashinhtonStreet, Midland, Michigan,on August 29, 1980 startingat1:00p.m.l The Staff has agreed to meet with pSrsons who have petitioned to inter-vene at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 1980 in a conference room at the Holiday Inn, U. S. Route 10 and Eastman Roads, Midland, Michigan.
The purpose of the August 28 meeting is to familiarize petitioners with the technical matters that will be discussed at the August 29 meeting.
The August 28 meeting is open to other parties and the general public to i
attend as observers.
