50-260 50-296 In accordance with prcrf ait,ns of 10 CPR Part 50.59, we are enclosing 40 copies of a requested amendment r.o licenses DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68 to change the technical specifications of Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant units 1, 2, and 3 (Enclosare 1).
The proposed changes to the technical specifications delete the requirements for steam line space high temperature isolations of High Pressure Coolant Injection, Reactor Core Isolation Cooling, and Main Steam Isolation systems while retaining the alarm functions. Justification for the proposed changes is enclosed (Enclosure 2).
References to previously proposed changes to technical specifications which have not yet been approved by MRC and an explanation of how the unapproved changes affect this requested change is provided (Enclosure 3).
Implementation of this change will provide *(sp f.1xiellity in the operation of Browns Ferry. Your expeditious revier S,tf *

In accorMee with the requirements of 10 CFR Part 170.22, we have determined this proposef amendment to be Class III for unit 1 and Class I for units 2 and 3 These elassifications are based on tha facts that the proposed amendment involves a single safety issue which does not involve a significant hazard consideration for unit 1, and the proposed amendment for unita 2 snd 3 is a dupliente of the unit 1 proposed amendment. The remittance for $4,800
($4,000 for unit 1 and $800 for unita 2 and 3) is being wired to the NRC, Attention Licensing Fee Management Dranch.
