IE Bulletin No. 79-1' Packaging Of Low-Le,a1 Radioactive Waste for Transport and Burial In Response:
Isotopic Analysis, Inc. does maintain a current set of NRC and DOE regulations concerning the transfer, packaging, and transport of low-level radioactive waste.
Isotopic Analysis, Inc. does maintain a current set of requirements -(license) placed on Nuclear Engineering Company, Inc. by the State of Washington.
Implementation of all other items included in IE Bulletin No. 79-19 will be completed by October 10, 1979.
Isotopic Analysis, Inc. made one (1) low-level radioactive waste shipment between January 1,1978 and June 30, 1979. The volume of that shipment was 67.5 cubic feet of laboratory waste (paper, plastic, glass, etc.). The ship-ment contained less than four (4) millicuries of primarily Uranium 235 isotope.
This shipment contained approximately two (2) kilograms of liquid or soluble vaste on 2X absorbent (dessicated clay).
