Notice of this meeting was published June 20, 1980. In accordance with the procedures outlined in the Federal Register on October 1,1979 (44 FR 56408), oral or written state =ents =ay be pretented ,by =e=bers of the public, recordings vill be per=itted only during those portions of the =eeting when a transcript is being kept, and questiens =ay be asked only by =e=bers of the Subce ittee, its consultants, and Staff. s Persons desiring to =ake cral state =ents should notify the Designated Federal E=ployee as far in advance as practicable so that appropriate arrange =ents can be made to allev the necessary ti=e during the =eeting for such state =ents. The entire =eeting vill be open to public attendance except for these sessions during which the Subce==ittee finds it necessary to discuss prorpietary infer =ation. - The agenda for subject meeting shall be as follows:
Tuesdav, August 5 and Wednesdav. August 6, 1980 8:30 a.m. until the conclusion of business each day. During the initial portion of the meeting, the Subcommittee, along with any of its consultants who may be present, will exchange preliminary views regarding matters to be considered during the balance of the meet-ing. The Subcommittee vill then hear presentations by and hold discussions with representatives of the NRC Staff, the Metropolitan Edison Company, their consultants, and other interested persons regarding the licensee's compliance with the NRC Order dated August 9,1979, in which the Commission stated the basis for its concern about the restart of TMI-l and the pro-cedures governing further proceedings in the matter, and other items ' considered necessary by the NRC Staff. Further information regarding items to be discussed, whether the meeting has been cancelled or rescheduled, the Chairman's ruling on requests for the opportunity to present oral statements and the time allotted therefor can be obtained by a prepaid telephone call to the cognizant Designated Federal Employee, Mr. Richard K. Major (telephone 202/634-1414) between 8:15 a.u. and 5 :00 p.m., EDT. I have determined, in accordance with Subsection 10(d) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, that it may be necessary to close some portions of this meeting to protect proprietary information.
